Don't miss this spot - Spotted Pig

Category: Dining

It has been almost five years since my first dinning experience at Spotted Pig. I absolutely adore this place, and it is my usual lunch indulgence. This is also my sons most favourite place, he loves the fries and burger.

At lunch this place is full but not noisy. Lunch attracts the locals, the fashion, celebrity and press crowd, and the tourist who travel miles to experience Michelin Star pub food. While sitting at the large window you can observe people passing by, the red brick West Village architecture and get the exposure to the sun that warms your back. I also love to smell of the herbs in pots. The atmosphere is very home like. The serviceis excellent! At night, Spotted Pig changes its vibe to a slightly different scene but still it attracts the relax crowd who comes there to drink and eat well, and not to showcase its status..

Spotted Pig is a pub with extraordinary menu where great selection of beers meets the most delicious burger in the city. The burger is super lean, juicy and very flavourful. The meat is served on a fresh brioche bun, with Roquefort cheese and shoestring fries. The fries come with fried and crunchy pieces of garlic and rosemary. With each bite the burger tastes better. .

The must have burger is not the only thing on the menu that stands out. For no meat lovers there are other options such as super light gnudi filled with imported Italian ricotta cheese served with sage and butter,or a bowl of delicious clam chowder, or a salad with Jerusalem artichokes and hazelnuts with little spice and lemon freshness..

Duck pate is a great start for the meal, it has super rich and creamy texture..

You cannot leave the place without trying two delicious desserts - Amaretto Walnut Cake with chocolate and mascarpone on the site, and Banoffi Pie - Banana and Toffi pie served with fresh cream...mouth watering pleasures. Both are not too sweet and not too heavy.

Spotted Pig despite its pub like atmosphere is kids friendly, offers high chairs, crayons and paper, and a team that loves kids!.

Special thanks to chef April Bloomfield!
